Contemporary Art Textiles

5-9 December 2017

ViewSeven is a group of seven artists dedicated to the making of contemporary abstract art textiles. ‘A Sense of Place’, their third collective exhibition, presents over forty works of art that explore responses to environment and landscape.

The works, all wall-based, are made using both historic and innovative techniques and materials, from raw earth pigments to fibre reactive dyes, hand-stitch and Shibori.

The artists are established in their field, several of them are also authors, curators or educators in art textiles, others have works currently in major public touring exhibitions.

Claire Benn, Karen Farmer, Claudia Helmer, Claire Higgott, Susie Koren, Leslie Morgan, Daline Stott.

The nearest tube is London Bridge, and Borough Market and Tate Modern are both within a 5 minute walk of the gallery.  Make a day of it and indulge yourself in great art and great food!
